Dr Kritika Samsi
I use qualitative research to understand the lived experiences of people with dementia and carers who access social care and what unmet needs may remain. I also work with social care practitioners to understand the needs and experiences of the workforce when providing care to people with dementia and carers, and what these intersections of care may reveal.
Strengths I bring: Social care systems, social care workforce, policy focused research.
What I would like the network to achieve: I would like for the network to recognise and enhance the critical contribution the social care workforce makes on sustaining the well-being of people living with dementia and their carers.

Dr Olivia Luijnenburg
Olivia is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in King’s College London’s NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce (HSCWRU). She is a medical anthropologist and has a special interest in dementia care in residential care, spirituality and health, qualitative health research, and ethics in care.
Strengths I bring: Dementia workforce, policy, intersectionality.
What I would like the network to achieve: I would like to achieve better dementia care for all through strong and sustainable relationships and communication pathways between people affected by dementia, particularly those that belong to marginalised or minoritised communities, and researchers.
