Dr Karan Juttla, University of Wolverhampton

As an academic, my interest in the challenge of dementia care for under-represented and under-served groups has spanned almost two decades whereby I have developed (and continue to develop) research, education and training to promote inclusivity in dementia care.

Strengths I bring: South Asian/ African Caribbean/ Chinese/ LGBTQ+ professional and community networks for co-production, participatory research with underserved groups, qualitative research.

What I would like the network to achieve: To work collaboratively to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their families in our diverse society across the dementia care pathway.

Our primary focus is to develop and deliver research that can improve the health and wellbeing of our diverse population, reduce health inequalities and advance health care professional practice. Dementia is a core cluster of our work https://www.wlv.ac.uk/research/research-centres/centre-for-applied-and-inclusive-health-research/
