Dr Clare Ellis-Smith

I am a Lecturer in Palliative Care and an occupational therapist, with a particular interest improving access to palliative care for those living with dementia. My work develops and evaluates interventions to support systematic assessment and monitoring of palliative care needs through implementation of person-centred outcome measures in routine care.

What I would like the network to achieve: A strong collaboration working together to reduce inequalities in care provision to enable all people affected by dementia to engage in meaningful activities and to maximise their wellbeing and quality of life.

Dr Peter May

I am a health economist at King’s, working to get better evidence for the decisions facing patients, families, clinicians and policymakers.

What I would like the network to achieve: Generate evidence that improves experiences for people living with dementia and their families.

Professor Katherine Sleeman 

My background is as a palliative care doctor, and I lead research that sits at the intersection between palliative care and policy. I am interested in research that uses routine data to understand and improve palliative care, and in public and policy engagement to enhance the impact of research.

Dr Lesley Williamson

Research associate with longstanding commitment to improving dementia care. Background in psychology and medicine, with professional membership to Royal College of Psychiatrists, and previous National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow and King’s Parliamentary Research intern.
